If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Debunking the Palestine Lie

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has launched an international campaign to achieve recognition by the United Nations for an independent Palestinian state. Abbas and his international supporters claim that only Israel (with the United States) stands in the way of this act of historical justice, which would finally bring about peace in the Middle East.

This video debunks the Palestinians' claim and shows that Abbas has been lying about the origins and history of the conflict. Palestinian leaders have rejected partition plans that would have given them much more land for their independent state than the Jews were offered for theirs. Rather than being the innocent victims of a "dispossession" at the hands of the Israelis, the Palestinians rejected reasonable compromises and instead pursued their aim of getting rid of the only Jewish state in the world.

To Whom Does The Land of Israel Belong?

I've seen this around the web.  Not sure who wrote it...
An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations assembly, and made the world community smile.  A representative from Israel began,"Before beginning my talk, I want to tell you something about Moses . . .

When he struck the rock, and it brought forth water, he thought, "What a good opportunity to have a bath!" Moses removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock, and entered the water.  When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Palestinian had stolen them!

The Palestinian representative at the UN jumped up furiously, and shouted, "What are you talking about? The Palestinians weren't there then."

The Israeli representative smiled and said, "And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech . . . "

David Levy: Isreal's Founding Was Wrong

David Levy, one of the founder's of the anti-Isreali "J-Street" lobbying group, has been captured on video in Dubai  stating that Isreal founding in 1948 was wrong.  Here's video:

It's always nice (NOT) to see a Jew say such asinine things, especially when the dumbscheisse gets the history wrong.
For one, he seems to have his history of Israel’s independence backwards – it was, after all, the Arab states that rejected the UN partition plan and chose to launch a war of annihilation against the nascent Jewish state instead. This war created the Palestinian refugee problem – but Levy thinks the refugees are Israel’s fault.

For another, the Arab League insisted that the Arabs living in what is now Israel leave their homes sot the League could drive the Jews into the sea...unfortunately, that  didn't happen.  So that created the "refugee problem" that has plagued the Middle East for decades.  Those nations that took these people in could have solved the problem easily by granting them citizenship.  After all, Jordan is made up of some 90% "Palestinians," who are in reality ethnic Arabs.
Levy’s argument – and J Street’s defense of it – help propagate the Palestinian myth of the “Nakba,” which, in the words of Sol Stern, “connotes a historical catastrophe inflicted on an innocent and blameless people (in this case, the Palestinians) by an overpowering outside force (international Zionism).”
Thus, in reality, the "problem" of Palestinians lays at the feet of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt and the Saudi's, but don't expect them to admit it.  It has been for more than 50 years a method of distracting their own oppressed populace from the internal issues that could threaten their own stability.

63% of American Support Israel

Gallup has released their most recent poll of Americans on Israel and the prospect for peace in the Middle East.  The amount of support for the Israel is the highest it's been since 1991, or nearly 20 years.

Not surprisingly it's Republicans and Independents voters who have voiced the highest amount of support Israel.

As may be seen, a minority of Democrats voiced support of the longest lived functioning democracy in the Middle East.  The rise of anti-semitism on the left has seen sharp increases in violent physical attacks attacks on Jews in the United Kingdoms and across Europe.  In Malmo, Sweden, one of the first cities in Europe to give shelter to Jews fleeing Nazi persecution has seen large numbers of Jew leaving the city and Sweden for the US and Israel.

Unsurprisingly Republicans and Independents no longer believe that the Palestinian Authority should be the government of the Palestinian controlled areas.  Support for Israel is 67%  while only 20% view the Palestinian Authority favorably.

Bottom Line
In the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict, a striking 63% of Americans currently say their sympathies lie more with the Israelis, the highest level in nearly 20 years. Support for the Palestinians, at 15%, is about average for the same period. At the same time, Gallup finds Americans' fundamental views of Israel no more favorable than they have been for the past several years. Israel does continue to enjoy a substantial advantage over the Palestinian Authority in its general image, a fact that clearly colors the ways Americans view the conflict.
