Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

David Levy: Isreal's Founding Was Wrong

David Levy, one of the founder's of the anti-Isreali "J-Street" lobbying group, has been captured on video in Dubai  stating that Isreal founding in 1948 was wrong.  Here's video:

It's always nice (NOT) to see a Jew say such asinine things, especially when the dumbscheisse gets the history wrong.
For one, he seems to have his history of Israel’s independence backwards – it was, after all, the Arab states that rejected the UN partition plan and chose to launch a war of annihilation against the nascent Jewish state instead. This war created the Palestinian refugee problem – but Levy thinks the refugees are Israel’s fault.

For another, the Arab League insisted that the Arabs living in what is now Israel leave their homes sot the League could drive the Jews into the sea...unfortunately, that  didn't happen.  So that created the "refugee problem" that has plagued the Middle East for decades.  Those nations that took these people in could have solved the problem easily by granting them citizenship.  After all, Jordan is made up of some 90% "Palestinians," who are in reality ethnic Arabs.
Levy’s argument – and J Street’s defense of it – help propagate the Palestinian myth of the “Nakba,” which, in the words of Sol Stern, “connotes a historical catastrophe inflicted on an innocent and blameless people (in this case, the Palestinians) by an overpowering outside force (international Zionism).”
Thus, in reality, the "problem" of Palestinians lays at the feet of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt and the Saudi's, but don't expect them to admit it.  It has been for more than 50 years a method of distracting their own oppressed populace from the internal issues that could threaten their own stability.

United Arab Emirates: Bomb Iran If Sanctions Don't Work

In Denver, CO, Ambassador Yousef al-Otaiba of the United Arab Emirates has endorsed the use of force against Iran if sanctions fail, as is being predicted.

“I think it’s a cost-benefit analysis. I think despite the large amount of trade we do with Iran, which is close to $12 billion… there will be consequences, there will be a backlash and there will be problems with people protesting and rioting and very unhappy that there is an outside force attacking a Muslim country; that is going to happen no matter what. If you are asking me, ‘Am I willing to live with that versus living with a nuclear Iran?’ my answer is still the same: ‘We cannot live with a nuclear Iran.’ I am willing to absorb what takes place at the expense of the security of the U.A.E.”
In Diplospeak, that's "you have our blessing to blast them back to the stone age..."  A nuclear armed Iran would utterly upset the balance of power in the Middle East and make a nuclear arms race inevitiable.  Nations such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia, as well as Iraq, Turkey and Kuwait would be forced to begin developement of nuclear bombs in order to guarantee their survival.

The existense of Israel's stockpile has kept the status quo in the region as they would only be likely to use their weapons if they were facing annihilation...which would be much more likely now, with a overly aggressive Iran...who just happens to back Hezbollah and Hamas, both of which regularly lob rockets into Isreal.

What would happen if a "small war" was triggered with Hezbollah in northern Israel/Southern Lebanon...that could rapidly spiral out of control, especially if Israel looks to destroy the Iranian proxy...Ahmadinejad has regularly threatened to nuke Isreali cities if Iran obtains such weapons, the 400 bomb arsenal of Israel would then be used on every medium sized city and military target in the region to forstall any possible ground war...
