George Washington statue is hidden at the MLK rally in Columbia , SC
The annual MLK observance at the state house in Columbia SC had an interesting twist this year. The event is held on the north side steps of the statehouse. Prominent at that location is a large bronze statue of George Washington. This year, the NAACP constructed a “box” to conceal the Father of His Country from view so that participants would not be offended by his presence.
I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this picture of the MLK Day rally in Columbia , South Carolina yesterday. This rally was sponsored by the NAACP and they said that they covered the statue because they “didn’t want to offend anyone”. Really? George Washington is the father of this nation. How is he offensive to anyone? Can you imagine what would happen if we covered the statue of Dr. King on President’s Day? Of course, this disgusting display of anti-Americanism wasn’t covered at all by the national media and only the local paper in Columbia had a little piece on it. It has been covered a little by the blog-world and I think the word needs to get out to the general public that this is what the NAACP is all about…..militant, hateful and racist.

It's Ok To Be Racist if You're Black
In a move that is a signal that it's ok to be a racist if you're black, Tom Vilsack the Sec of Agriculture has offered Shirley Sherrod "a unique position" in the Dept of Agriculture.
The new job offer comes after an embarrassed White House apologized to Sherrod Wednesday for ousting her over her remarks about race to an NAACP banquet in Georgia earlier this year. So, there you have it. You can be black and be a racist in America today.

NAACP Showing Racism Itself
NAACP who recently condemned the Tea Party Movement as being racist is caught with their pants down cheering a USDA official who cost a white Georgia farmer his home, his farm and his family's livelyhood.
Far from being a post-raicial presidency, this administration and it's loyal minions are undoing the work of an entire generation...they have in the course of a few short months undone the work of the past 50 years. This nation is now as polarized as it was at the height of the 1960's prior to the asssasination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Far from being proud, the NAACP, which was founded by 2 jewish lawyer and to black lawyers in 1905, they should be ashamed of what they have done over the past 5 years.

UPDATE: WCBS TV has picked up the story...and Ms. Sherrod has resigned. Here's a couple of comments from that story:
UPDATE: Here is an important commentary on this whole thing:
Andrew Breitbart announced that he would publish at least one video of the NAACP itself cheering racism. Breitbart delivers on that promise today at Big Government, showing USDA official Shirley Sherrod explain to an appreciative NAACP audience in July 2009 how she deliberately withheld information from a white farmer in Georgia trying to save his land and his business:

By David posted 44 minutes and 55 seconds ago " One absolutley certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans,French-Americans,Scaandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality" Teddy Roosevelt "You cannot become thorough Americans if you think of yourselves in groups. America does not consist of groups. A man who thinks of himself as belonging to a particular national group in America has not yet become an American" Woodrow Wilson Congratulations democrats, you are the party of identity politics. So much for a "post-racial" presidency...reap what you sew, Mr. Obama.
By Sparky2 posted 1 hr(s) 37 minutes and 53 seconds ago I think to be a 'racist' doesn't have the same stigma it once had. Everyone would agree to discrimnate against someone just because of their race is wrong. However, we have seen so much reverse discrimination along with blacks being the biggest 'racists' in the country, example how they vote for black candidates just because they are black (look at the black senate candidate in SC, or the huge 97% black vote for Obama, to name a few. If someone voted for a white candidate just because they were white, they would be labeled a racist. Another example, the virtual zero coverage by the national media on the New Black Panther Party that intimidated voters at the polls, whereas if it was a KKK member they would have been ostricized by the media. So, now when a person or group is labeled a 'racist', in some cases, it may actually help them
By lawlak posted Mon Jul 19 2010 5:51:53 PM I am sure the Obama Department of Justice is going to investigate this obvious case of racism against the white male by a government official. I am sure that the Civil Rights Division is all over this. Oh wait, they only investigate racism against blacks and not against whites. This is probably actually encouraged by the DOJ. Remember that in November when you vote. Flag/Report offensive Comment
By isnrblog posted Mon Jul 19 2010 5:44:01 PM A white person would get slammed for making such statements. NAALCP, National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Colored People. Blacks are just as racist if not more so than whites. So "here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land. So I didn't give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough," No you didn't. You didn't give him the "full force" of what you could do. So "Shirley Sherrod, USDA Rural Development Georgia State Director," an employee of the Federal Government openly acted racist. I am calling for her to be fired.
UPDATE: Here is an important commentary on this whole thing:
One thing about the NAACP video of Shirley Sherrod…that nobody is mentioning.Indeed, look closely at the audience's reaction...it's complete agreement and approval.
Look at the crowd reaction when she says this. Is there shock? Is there disgust? Is there anger? Nope, they are with her all the way.
That says more about the NAACP than anything Sherrod did. The NAACP didn’t reject Shirley Sherrod that night or last week because they never had a problem with what she said.
If Andrew Brietbart didn’t put out that video they would still be behind her. The only reason why Ben Jealous et/al have rejected Sherrod is because what she said to them behind closed doors in the past has been exposed to the general public. It is the same as Barack Obama and Rev Wright, if those videos of Wright didn’t exist he would be a regular guest at the White House today.
It would be very interesting to find people in that crowd and ask them if they had a problem with what she said when she said it.

NAACP: If You Oppose Obama, You Are A Racist
Over the past 16 months, it has emerged that anyone who opposes Barack Obama's agenda, they (and I) are painted as a racist. Earlier this week, the NAACP passed a measure during their national convention that accuses the Tea Party as a racist organization. Yesterday, on Big Government.com, just about every single entry was by conservative black Americans. Does their being conservative make them racists? What about their being black? What doest that make them? Uncle Tom's? What does this say about the supporters of Mr. Obama? Are they so desperate to destroy their enemies that they have to paint anyone who opposes the agenda of this president as being racists?
Formerly, using the race card was enough to deligitimize any person or organization. But, since the 2008 election, the constant use of "the card" has made a mockery of it.
It seems Mr. Obama's minions are getting desperate...with his poll numbers dropping at a precipitous rate, his chances of retaining control of the House and quite possibly the Senate is rapidly slipping away. America doesn't really trust government, nor do they want "big government." His policies will cost the Democratic Party dearly...

President Bill Clinton was smeared as a racist by the Obama campaign when Hillary Clinton was running for president. It seems that anyone who disagrees with the far left, socialist policies of Barack Obama and the current administration is subject to the heavy hand of the race card.
