Why The Immigration Reform Bill Is A Fraud
Mickey Kaus has a terrific synopsis of just why the Senate Bill 744 is a fraud.
Schumer-Rubio promise/Why bogus
In 1986, Congress passed an amnesty bill. We were then promised it was a one-time deal...now, less than 30 years later, many of the same Senators are pushing another amnesty bill. That is utter bullshit. I work as a cabinetmaker in the light manufacturing/construction industry. Illegal aliens have destroyed the US construction business. It used to be you only heard English at building sites. Now, most companies hire only illegals because they can pay them $10 per hour, work them 60 hours per week and not pay overtime, taxes, social security, etc. It's a win for business owners...and a huge loss for American carpenters, masons, electricians and plumbers. After all, what incentive is there for a company to hire me if they have to pay me a living wage ($20 per hour or more!)...there isn't. So they don't.
If Congress REALLY wanted to pass reall immigration reform it would look like this
Schumer-Rubio promise/Why bogus
- “Multiple triggers”/Legalization is immediate. DHS just has to write
border “plan.” The most any “triggers” can possibly do is delay green cards and citizenship.
- “90 % effectiveness”/ If not reached, triggers only toothless commission
- “Pay back taxes”/ Only if already “assessed” by IRS (unlikely). Newly legalized may instead get refunds.
- “Learn English”/ Only need to sign up for
English class.
- Clean record”/ Allows two free misdemeanors. Additional misdemeanors (including assaults) can be waived by DHS.
- No “public charge.” Must earn 125% of poverty line / They’re going to deport people who earn only 124% or less? Ha.
- “Pay a fine”/ Can be waived by DHS
- “Back of the line”/ Get to wait out the line while living in the U.S (unlike suckers trying to come here legally).
- Border fence/ Leaves it up to DHS, which decided not to complete fence in first place
- “Comprehensive Southern Border Security Strategy”/ Only has to be “substantially” operational–whatever that means, as defined by DHS–before green cards are issued. (Legalization has already happened, remember!)
- “E-verify” employment checks/ Replaces E-Verify with new system. Requires only that this system be “implemented” ( 30%? 70%? Who knows?). Subject to lawsuit. If still in court after 10 years, never mind!
- Entry-exit system for visas/Has been required since 1996. DHS must only be “using” a system before green cards can be issued. (Using in 10% of airports? 50%? Again, who knows?)

If Congress REALLY wanted to pass reall immigration reform it would look like this
- Require all municipal, county and state entities to enforce current laws on the books. Failure to do so would "trigger" loss of all federal funds to the entity that chooses not to do so.
- Punish employers for hiring illegal aliens. 1st offense, $5,000.00 fine per person hired. 2nd offense, $10,000.00 fine per person, loss of business license for 1 year. 3rd offense, $25,000.00 fine, 5 year loss of business license, 1 year jail time PER illegal alien employed. Enact reward system for reporting illegal aliens employed by American companies. Say, $1,000.00 per verified illegal alien. The money would come from the fines paid by guilty employers.
- Secure the southern border now. Immediately deport any and all people caught illegally crossing the border on 1st offense. 2nd offense, 1 year on a "chain-gang" cleaning/repairing roadways in the border states. 3rd offense, 2 years on the "chain-gang.

Reciprocity...
Via Roger's Rules
Dear President Obama:This is what we give illegals from Mexico when they come here, they should offer Americans exactly the same thing.
I’m planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me.
We’re planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. Into Mexico, and we’ll need your help to make a few arrangements.
We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I’m sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Calderon, that I’m on my way over?
Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. Please print all Mexican government forms in English.
4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spa nish by English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.
5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.
7. Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license so I can get easy access to government services. 9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but, I don’t plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won’t make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. Flag from my house top, put U S. Flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.
14. I want to receive free food stamps.
15. Naturally, I’ll expect free rent subsidies.
16. I’ll need Income tax credits so although I don’t pay Mexican Taxes, I’ll receive money from the government.
17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Gov’t pays $4,500 to help me buy a new car.
18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program so that I’ll get a monthly income in retirement.
I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all his people who walk over to the U.S. from Mexico.
I am sure that President Calderon won’t mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

The Dream Act
With Mr. Obama weighing in with his version of the dream act giving citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants brought to this country by their parents, and thus seizing moment from the stupidity of the GOP, he has attempted to influence the Hispanic vote in the upcoming election.
My take? Before any sort of "Dream Act" can be discussed, we, as a nation must secure the porous Mexican border prior to any sort of discussion on illegal immigration. It's that simple. No ifs, ands or buts. Close and secure the border, and only then talk about what to do with the 12-20 MILLION illegals currently here.
My view is that those individuals must return to their home countries and apply for a visa, just as everyone else who entered the country accourding to the laws passed by Congress and signed into law by past presidents. Circumventing those laws to enter the country makes every damn one of them a felon in my view. They broke the law of the land, that being set forth by Congress. Ask any one who has taken 5 or more years to get a residence visa and see just how vehement they oppose amnesty for illegals.
This president has proposed his version of the "Dream Act" in order to pander to the Hispanic community here in America. It's not about "fairness" it's about gaining political favour with a voting block that just might shore up his stumbling candidacy.

How to end Illegal Immigration
There is constant argument on how to eliminate the huge problem we have with illegal immigrants in this country. This post stems from a comment on made on a Daily Caller article. You want to end illegal immigration? There are five simple steps to do so:
1. One year manadatory jail term and $10,000.00 fine for each illegal worker who is found in your employment.
2. Revoke business license for 1 year for each illegal worker who is found in your employ
3. On third violation...sieze all property owned by that company...
4. Eliminate the "anchor baby" citizenship loophole...by stating that those children born to parents who are here illegally do not have citizenship.
5. Eliminate ALL federal funding to municipalities and counties that are "santuary" areas. (If you don't wish to enforce federal laws...then you don't get federal dollars.).
Those five simple steps would eliminate any and all insentives for hiring illegal workers.

Mexican Government Issues ID Cards At A US School
The following was sent to me by someone who was at the below protest. She's an active member of the California Minute Men.
The Santa Ana , CA , Mexican Consulate set up a mobile Mexican Matricula Consular ID center on Capistrano School District at the Adult English Language Development Center located at 31351 Camino Real, San Juan Capistrano , CA .I'm curious to know just what would the Mexican government have done is this were occuring somewhere in Mexico.
The fee is $27 per matricula consular application.
When the Minutemen arrived at the Capistrano School District Adult School
there was a hub of activity. A mobile Mexican Consulate center was in full swing.
Legal resident Mexicans have U.S. issued green cards, for identification.
Mexican Consulate Mobile Matricula Consular CenterMexican Nationals in the U.S. ILLEGALLY do NOT have a green card and therefore need a Mexican matricula consular identification card - matricula means: of a like group and consular means: from a consulate.
Box of matricula consular application forms on US public school property
One Minuteman
After the Minutemen had been onsite for about an hour and a half, the Mobile center was shut down - above photo.
Once Minutemen began to observe and report, documenting and photographing, the Mexican nationals no longer ventured forth to the center and many, who had been in attendance, left the mobile center.
MEXICAN DIPLOMAT TELLS MINUTEMEN - LEAVE!
The Mexican diplomat, above, would not give us her business card nor her name The Mexican diplomat, above, approached the Minutemen as the Minutemen were peacefully strolling about - on United States public school property - observing and taking photos of the event.
Minutewoman - peacefully assembling on public school property. The Mexican diplomat repeatedly said, "This is a private event for Mexicans only…You cannot be here…I am telling you nicely as I do not want to call the police. Please leave."
Minuteman Project National Rally Spokesman Raymond Herrera said to the Mexican diplomat, "No, we will not leave. We are guaranteed freedom of assembly under OUR Constitution."
Minutemen assembled on U.S. school property
I said to the diplomat, "The U.S. should adopt Mexico ’s immigration policy."
"Oh," she agreed. “ Mexico has a very good immigration policy."
Mexican diplomat south side of the mobile centerThe Mexican diplomat was particularly vexed by our photographing of the event. “DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS," she commanded repeatedly. Minutemen stated that in the USA , we have the right to photograph in public. "No, you cannot take photos," she insisted. Herrera and the diplomat then entered into a lengthy discussion in Spanish.
GANG MEMBER with application in hand
The man, above photo, displayed gang hand signals and yelled out "THIS IS OUR TERRITORY!" The Mexican diplomat witnessed and seemingly approved of the gang member at the "Mexican Only” event.
He appeared to be filling out an application - in his left hand above. Many have informally been told that in the Hispanic community only gang members wear black shoes. Note in the photo above, the only man in black shoes is the self-professed gang member.
DIPLOMAT ASSAULTS!
The Minutewoman, above, had been quietly photographing...
Mexican Diplomat has a matricula consular card in her hand
Suddenly the door above opened, and the Mexican diplomat, came out yelling. The photo above is just before she lashed out. To our utter amazement, the diplomat started to strike out at the Minutewoman! We were in a state of shock. As she yelled, she struck across the Minutewoman's lower right jaw and lip, several times. The Minutewoman above, in her left hand, used her sign as a shield, while pulling her camera back from the assaulting Mexican diplomat Ten minutes after the assault the Minutewoman still had a "stinging" sensation on her lip and jaw area.
POLICE ARRIVEPolice arrived after the assault. The police said they had been called by the consulate as they had reported that the Minutemen were inside the building yelling and pushing about. We never entered the building and had been quietly moving outside, on school property.
Herrera spoke with officers then requested they interview the diplomat. Per the officer's request, the diplomat came forward.
"They must leave," she said to the officer. But the officer replied, "No, this is a public school and they can be here."
The diplomat then said that we must stop photographing them. "Ma'am,” the officer informed her, "You are in a public area and they can photograph."
The officer then asked her, “Do you have the paperwork to use this facility." "Yes," she replied. "I would like to see it," the officer said,
"I don't have the paperwork with me," she said back to him.
OFFICER ON THE PHONE
"I would like to see your identification," the officer said. "No, you can't," she said to the officer. The officer at this point followed her inside of the building. "I have no identification with me. I did not drive, "she finally said as the officer pursued the issue. At this point, the door shut and the officer remained inside of the building. After the officer spoke with the diplomat, he returned to his vehicle and spoke on his cell phone for about 15 to 20 minutes.
After he hung up, he met with us. He said the consulate did not have paperwork but that he had spoken to the individual who had granted the use of the school. He said that we could continue to assemble on the school property. He appeared sympathetic about the Minutewoman assault, but said the Mexican Consulate staff had diplomatic immunity.
CONSULAR VEHICLE

Americans must know what is happening behind our backs, in our own country!! What is a Matricula Consular card? Matricula Consular cards are identification cards issued by the Mexican government to mainly illegal immigrants living in the United States . Currently, more than 350 financial institutions accept Matricula Consular cards as proof of identification thereby allowing thousands of illegal immigrants to have access to mainstream U.S. financial services.

Tax Credits For Illegal Aliens
Evidently, the Obama administration is giving tax credits to employers who hire illegal aliens.
Additionally, the federal government, through the Democratic party has not helped the matter...if those counties and cities who have become "sanctuaries" were to lose ALL federal funding for ALL programs...they'd rapidly repeal their "sanctuary" status! Any city or county that refuses to follow federal laws in this should lose any and ALL federal funding. No ifs, ands or buts...
A blistering Treasury Department audit released Friday found that "individuals not authorized to work in the United States were paid $4.2 billion in refundable credits." Those credits are meant to zero out any taxes paid by the poor, and often amount to checks as high as $1,000, courtesy of other taxpayers. You just have to love the hypocrisy of this administration...they want to create jobs, they just don't want Americans (or legal residents) to have them. The only way to end illegal immigration is to have a genuinely defensible-defined and patrolled border. The only way to curb illegal immigration is to harshly punish those who HIRE illegal immigrants. If you fine and revoke the business licenses of companies who hire illegals, you remove the incentive to do so. When you can't conduct business legally, because you've been fined, lost your liscense, or imprisoned for hiring illegals...then the problem will solve itself.
In the last five years, some 2.3 million illegal immigrants decided they, too, were "entitled" to that money, and the IRS paid them. Word got out and the payouts to illegals grew fourfold over the last five years.
The Treasury report noted that paying these credits to illegals is explicitly prohibited by U.S. law, which holds that those unauthorized to work here cannot receive federal benefits.

A Real Eye Opener
WHY is the USA BANKRUPT?
Informative, and mindboggling!
You think the war in Iraq was costing us too much? Read
this:
A friend of mine sent me some stuff on just how we as a nation are wasting money...the usual meme has been it's the illegal "foriegn wars" that have pushed us into bankruptcy. The following is what we as a nation spend on illegal workers every single year. EVERY YEAR. I think that the seven budgetary items below with help change your mind. I have the URL's for checking those facts below each item.
If you do the math, you'll find that we're blowing $338.3 billion dollars each and every year...and that number is climbing with inflation. By not spending that money, that would close almost one-fifth of the deficit. That's a significant amount of money. If we spent it in one year on securing the US-Mexican border, we'd not have to spend that money ever again...think about that.

Maryland GOP Petitioning to Have Instate Tuition for Illegal Workers Overturned in 2012 General Election
It seems that my Maryland GOP is attempting to do something that hasn't been sucessful in 20 years. Have a ballot initiative placed on the 2012 general election ballot that will overturn the Legislatures very narrowly passed bill that gives instate tuition to illegal immigrants.
Here's a first-hand account of the attempt to disuade people from signing the petition in Rockville, MD, a suburb of Washingtond, DC.
I've added the PotomacTeaParty to my blogroll to the right. I hope that you'll take a moment to click on over and have a read...
Sponsored by a group of Maryland’s most liberal legislators, Senate Bill 167 allows illegal immigrants who graduated from the state’s schools to enjoy in-state tuition rates at the state’s community colleges. It is estimated the bill could cost state taxpayers upward of $3 million per year by 2016, although those who drew up the bill’s fiscal note conceded they couldn’t accurately gauge the impact.
..........
In 2009, after a bill allowing speed cameras in work and school zones was passed, organizers of a petition drive to send that bill to voters in 2010 fell just short at the 1/3 threshold. The last time a petition succeeded in making the ballot was 1991, while one has to go back nearly forty years to find the last time a ballot initiative succeeded in overturning legislation. So petition organizers knew history was against them.
............
So you can imagine the shock that Annapolis liberals received when Parrott and his local petition organizers announced last week they were turning in 62,496 signatures at the May 31 milepost. While supporters of the Senate bill like the immigrant advocacy group CASA de Maryland are publicly holding their cards close to their chest, it’s likely they will turn to the courts if the petition drive succeeds in getting the signatures required. In the meantime, they’re attempting to impede progress any way they can.
Here's a first-hand account of the attempt to disuade people from signing the petition in Rockville, MD, a suburb of Washingtond, DC.
Special thanks to the volunteers from Montgomery, Baltimore and Harford Counties that spent time collecting signatures at the Rockville Hometown Holidays event today. Hundreds of Democrats and Republicans signed the petitions today to stop in-state college tuition for illegal immigrants.I know that in my neck of the woods, a heavily Jewish suburb of Baltimore, calle Pikesville (no jokes please, I've heard them all), the above peice of legislation is VERY unpopular. Many parents here are having real trouble affording college tuition in the first place, and are very angry that the bill passed at all. I think that if this measure makes it onto the ballot in 2012's general election it will pass, much to the consternation of our very liberal state legislative leaders.
How do we know we are winning growing public support on this important issue? A few days ago the head of CASA of Maryland, Gustavo Torres, was quoted in the press that the petition drive would fail and therefore was not a worry to his group and the illegal alien community.
Today that changed!
One of Torres’ top drones, the taxpayer subsidized Kim Propeack, Community Organizer of some sort, came by our tent today and actually tried to force herself between petition signers and our volunteers!
Propeack screamed that we were ‘Immigrant Bashing” and called the MD Petitioner volunteers “Haters”! One of our volunteers Shakil, a first generation immigrant from Bangledesh (his parents are legal immigrants!) was extremely offended by the vile words used by CASA of Maryland.
Fortunately our cool headed volunteers ignored Propeack and continued about their business of collecting signatures from concerned citizens.
Also snooping in the background was Delegate Luis Simmons (D- Mntgomery County). Simmons did not try to stop citizens from signing petitions like CASA’s Propeack, but he was certainly putting the “evil eye” on our volunteers. Simmons was an early supporter of in-state tuition as well as many other taxpayer funded programs for Hispanic illegal immigrants. [Simmons was one of those who got the sweetheart bond bill to benefit Identity, Inc and apparently two of its board members, here.]

Hope & Change
I correspond, via email, with a lot of people around the country. A few, a very few have entry to political circles that the vast majority of us only read about. Here's excerpts from an email by one of those individuals and what he thinks may happen in the not too distant future...
We're presently engaged in a titanic struggle with religious extremists of Islam. I think we're winning that because Al Qaieda has long been targeting Muslims because they are easier to hit. That's made serious inroads in their ability to recruit...but then most of their recruits have been from the middle and upper classes. This week in Egypt, Muslims for the first time, came forward and gave protection to the Coptic Christian minority (they make up 10% of the population and have long been a target) as they celebrated their Christmas, hundreds and thousands of Muslims became human shields at Coptic churches all across Egypt. Perhaps the long hoped for rising of Muslim 'moderates' is finally occuring.
I don't know if this country can continue upon the path that the Democratic leadership has set us upon. I know that we can't afford to pay for what they want. I just hope that the new GOP leadership of the US House of Representatives aren't doing the usual Congressional kabuki theatre, because we just can't pay for all of this any more.
Regarding the GOP house fucking things up, I am so ambivalent on this issue. I don't like citing history - but in 2000, I wanted Gore to win the Presidential race. I knew we were going to war with the Arabs, I knew we were going into an economic collapse. I foresaw the dot.com bubble and ultimate collapse, the real estate bubble collapse. Bush never had a chance and I figured he would be the modern day Herbert Hoover. With the huge under-funding of public pensions at the state and local level as well as the imminent collapse of Social Security due to Congress' constant raiding of it for the past 42 years, I can see where they're coming from.
Today we are facing some of the most difficult economic times as we have ever faced. Don't buy a home - as real estate taxes will double in 5 years - the lack of prudent and timely funding local county and state pensions will cripple state economies - state employee layoffs will be staggering - cutback in services (some vital) will cause life and death situations on a daily basis and I see large riots in the streets - a case of open warfare by the haves and the have nots. I also see more senseless attacks on members of Congress (or other high ranking bureaucrats) as a method to gaining attention. People are frustrated. Just think of some of the thoughts you have had during the past 2 years - and you are a rational/sane man. I am way closer to death than you are and I can tell you that I have some legitimate fears about the direction of our country - and I don't give a damn who is in the leadership seat.
You are one of the very few that will understand what I am saying. This false sense of security the media portrays is not only misleading but downright dangerous - that is both sides - Right and Left. In 40 years, local gang welfare will rule the streets, control food distribution, decides who lives or dies - not the political parties. You will live in a class warfare state, no civil status, no laws (excepting mob rule).
I am serious when I tell you I will be glad I will be dead - but I fear for you, my kids, my grandchildren, you kids and grandchildren. I only have a few changes to make. Spend more time at the firing range, learn to speak Spanish...

Prescott Square Apartments, Pikesville, Maryland
I live just outside of Baltimore, Maryland in a suburb called Pikesville. It's nice place to live for the most part. But the apartment complex I live in mystifies me most of the time. With record numbers of construction workers out of work. They only hire contractors who use illegal workers.
First it was the roofing contractor. They were here for a week. The only person on the crew working here who spoke ANY english at all was the foreman, and he only spoke broken english. When I tried to ask them where they were from...they literally fled for the day. I called/contacted the various agencies in the county before giving up and trying the local corrupt Congresscritter, John Sarbanes (son of the former Senator for Maryland, and "Senator" in waiting when Ben Cardin decides to retire)...nothing happened.
Now, the carpet is being replaced...and once again, not one of the men doing the work can speak English. As a cabinetmaker who hasn't worked regularly in two years, this really pisses me off. I know carpet layers who are out of work, and this contractor is using illegals. There are carpenters who can't find work, and all the crews I see...doing what little work there is, are illegals...it's well past time that we do something about this.
I would like to see significant increases in the amounts of fines for employers who hire and use illegal workers. Additionally, I'd like to see a secure border. Fortunately, the DREAM Act was voted down, or we'd have a flood of ever more illegals coming north. But, alas, none of these things will happen as long as unions and their Democratic party enablers see illegal workers as a resource (i.e. potential voters) to be exploited.

Harry Reid Arguing Against Birthright Citizenship
I rarely agree with anything that Harry Reid has to say...however, in 1993, he introduced a bill that would end "birthright citizenship" for children of those who are in this country illegally. It's well past time to end the "anchor baby" laws.
Personally, I don't care where you or your ancestors came from, so long as you came here legally. If you can't follow the laws that Congress has enacted regarding immigration...then you are breaking the law. That's all there is to it.

Border Fence: 68% Voters Support It, 67% Political Class Oppose it...
Rasmussen Reports new poll on illegal immigration shows that 68% of likely voters support the continued building of a secure border barrier along the Mexican border. Just as predictably, while more than 3/4ths voters (76%) want Congress to build a secure border, only 67% of the "political class" (our ostensible rulers) oppose just such a barrier...and just a predictably, CBS News, is reporting that there is no violence along the border. They soft soap report below shows. This is what our political elite believes, yet, voters are strongly opposed. This is yet another example of the "political elite" flouting the will of the people.
However, a large majority of voters are opposed the the DoJ's lawsuit against Arizona's recent law requiring police to check the immigration status of those they arrest for other crimes.
However, a large majority of voters are opposed the the DoJ's lawsuit against Arizona's recent law requiring police to check the immigration status of those they arrest for other crimes.
Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters nationwide oppose the Justice Department’s decision to challenge the Arizona law, and 61% favor passage of a law like Arizona’s in their own state. But, here's the money statistic, and this is how highly Congress, and our political leadership are held on this as well as many other matters:
Fifty-four percent (54%) say the Justice Department instead should take legal action against cities that provide sanctuary for illegal immigrants. Even more think the federal government should cut off funds to these “sanctuary cities.”
Most voters ages 40 and older say it is possible for the United States to end illegal immigration. Republicans by better than two-to-one are more confident than Democrats that it’s possible. Voters not affiliated with either party are more closely divided on the question.
Most members of the Political Class, however, say it can’t be done. Fifty-six percent (56%) of Mainstream voters say it is possible to stop illegal immigration, but 58% of the Political Class disagree.
Sixty-eight percent (68%) of voters say the Political Class doesn’t care what most Americans think anyway. That just goes to show that it's way past time, regarless of party, to vote them ALL OUT IN NOVEMBER!

No. 1. Stop holding our security hostage and get control of the border now. On Thursday, Obama said the border is "more secure today than at any time in the past 20 years." A few hours later, 21 people died in a shootout among rival gangs just 12 miles south of Nogales. Put down the talking points and fix it so that people with AK-47s aren't running through the desert. Fix it so that the people we've deported stay deported. Fix it with National Guard troops who are actually allowed to do what they are trained to do. That is, guard. The part where I disagree is on the Dream Act...you don't reward bad behavior with citizenship, much less "permanent residency." They broke the law to come to this country and by rewarding them for that act is contravention to the rule of law...but then, since when does the rule of law figure into what ANY politician does in this country.
No. 2. Once we have control - and only after we have control - take up the issue of how to offer a chance of legalization to those who can prove they have been here since some set point in time that begins before any last-minute rush to the border to get in on the deal. They would need to have a clean criminal record, pay a fine and learn English. Yes, some hard-liners will try to stall on what "control" means. Yes, it's unfair to those who seek to come here the legal way, and yes, it's "amnesty." But it's also an acknowledgement that they are here and that we had a hand in their arrival. At least, our employers did, and we certainly never complained about the cheap labor.
No. 3. Create a tamperproof ID card and put employers on notice that if they're caught with ineligible workers, they're in big trouble.
No. 4. Establish a guest-worker program that fills the need for immigrant labor but only after being fair to the American worker, who will do most jobs, I suspect, if he or she is paid a living wage.
And No. 5. Along with securing the border now, pass the DREAM Act now.

A Nation of Immigrants
A 4th of July Message from the Patriots Coalition:
I firmly believe that we as a nation, must secure our southern border (it's not racist as we don't have millions of Canadians furtively sneaking across our northern border), BEFORE we discuss the twenty million or so illegal workers here. Doing anything less is a disservice to America...
We hear from politicians and ethno-centric groups that we are a nation of immigrants. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are a nation of Americans, almost three hundred million native born, who are the most welcoming people on the planet for immigrants from around the world. More legal immigrants are welcomed to the United States each year than are accepted by all other countries of the world combined. Their skill, service, and patriotism are welcome additions to our country. My personal opinion on immigration is simple: I don't care where you, or your family comes/came from...as long as you followed the laws enacted by the United States Congress when you came here. My father's family came to American around 1635 through Salem Massachusetts, my mother's around 1745 (they backed Bonny Prince Charley and paid for it with exile). There were no laws then, but since then our elected representatives have enacted statutes that regulate immigration...if you break those laws to enter, then you should be punished. If you hire people who are here illegally, then you should lose your business liscense as well as pay a hefty fine if not go to jail as well.
Most American families share an experience similar to mine. As the oldest son of the oldest son, I inherited the Old Family Bible. When I looked at the papers stuck between the pages, I discovered my Grandpa Pat's Certificate of Naturalization. It's dated the 13th day of June in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and seventeen and of our independence the one hundred and forty-first. As Independence Day reminders from generations ago, the phrases "in the year of our Lord" and "of our independence the one hundred and forty-first" recall less complicated times. The certificate states further that "the petitioner had in all respects complied with the law in relation thereto, and that he was entitled to be admitted".
As we feel that we are becoming more disconnected from our government and that our Republic is changing into something we can't control or understand, let us be reminded that it will be the 234th year of our independence and the 2010th year of our Lord. Past difficulties have been overcome. As children of the greatest American generation, we must honor that greatest generation by remembering our obligation as citizens. Practice and celebrate your independence. "God Bless America"
Pat Byrne
Executive Director

Sex With An Illegal Immigrant: A Joke
This was sent to me by a friend...it makes so damn much sense, I hadda post it:
SEX WITH AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT
An illegal immigrant picks up a hooker. "Hey, how much you charge for da hour, sister?" he asks.
"$100," she replies.
In broken English, he says, "Do you do immigrant style?"
"No" she says.
"I pay you $200 to do immigrant style."
"No," she says, not knowing what immigrant style is.
"I pay you $300."
"No," she says.
"I pay you $400."
"No," she says.
So finally he says, "OK, I pay $1,000 to do immigrant style."
She thinks, "Well, I've been in the game for over 10 years now. I've had every kind of request from weirdo's from every part of the world. How bad could immigrant style be?"
So she agrees and has sex with him. Finally, after several hours, they finish. Exhausted, the hooker turns to him and says, "Hey, I was expecting something perverted and disgusting. But that was good. So, what exactly is immigrant style?"
The illegal immigrant replies, "You send bill to Government."

Illegal Immigrants Protest At Montebello High School In California
Here's a story you won't see in any of the MSM outlets. The protestors at Montebello High School took the American flag off the school's flag pole and hung it upside down while putting up the Mexican flag over it.
This story will never be covered by the liberal media because it doesn't fit the narative they're building of a hard working, law-abiding "future" citizenry...it is in fact just the opposite. Never before in our history have we permitted immigrants to remain apart. For the first time in our history we have not demanded that immigrants not assimilate into the melting pot that is our culture. In the past 30 years we have jumped into a politically correct abyss that permits and encourages seperatism...and this is a result.
Take a close look at the sign...we will all pay for this eventually.
