Today in BuzzFeed.com, an article was posted about a painting by the artist John McNaughton.  The post points out numerous times, that "The Conservative Artist..." as if political views are important to the art in question. I guess what really annoyed me was this quote,

"The Provo, Utah based painter has struck artistic gold with his series, tapping into a widespread libertarian distrust of Washington, as well as a deep-seated hatred of President Obama, which critics says is animated by racial bias."

Why  is it that anyone who opposes the policies of this president, Barack Obama, is "animated by a racial bias."  Could it be that people who oppose this president's policies just don't like the policies, or the direction is man is  taking the country?  What if THAT is the root of 67% of America's belief that Barack Obama is taking the country in the wrong direction?  What if everyone who opposes this president does so out of patriotism?  What happened to opposition being "patriotic"? 

It wasn't all that long ago, the Democratic Party was telling everyone from hell to high water that opposing the policies of George W. Bush was patriotic.  When did dissent to a president's policies morph from patriotism to racism?  What changed?

Personally, after all the pious crap that's been printed, posted, painted about The One, it's honestly refreshing to see a painting that mocks this man.

UPDATE:  As someone who lives in the Baltimore-Washington Metroplex, you see every day the effects of the influx of government bureaucrats.  None of them actually contribute a damn thing to the economy...and infact sucking at Uncle Sam's hind tit as they do, they are draining money that could be better off spend by the people who pay taxes. 

It's time to do across the board, 30% reductions in, not just spending, but firing 30% of the people who work for government...ALL branches of government.  Better yet, reduce the size of those working for Congress  by 50%...

Then, simplify the tax code to something along the lines of a flat income tax (20% for everyone above the poverty line).  It's not "fair" that someone who busts their ass and earns $1 million dollars a year, yet has to pay 50% of those earning to shore up a corrupt bureaucratic system that the country can't afford any more.

We won't see any of this happen until the government hits the bankruptcy skids, much like the Greek government is on the brink of.  No politician currently eating at the DC trough has the courage to do anything like the draconian measures that will be necessary to save our Republic...more's the pity.

...and that's all Mr. Obama has been able to say for the past three and a half years. He still refuses to take responsibility for adding 70% to the national deficit...nor accept responsibility for the regulatory strangle hold his administration has placed upon American businesses. 

Last week, a journalist was excoriated for simply asking a "hard" question  of the president...something 99% of the DC press corps has refused to do.  Eventually, Mr. Obama will have to face voters and aswer for what his administration has done.   I suspect that he'll use the Jimmy Carter precident of being "retired by the voters."...

No Bailouts For The "Little People"

With all the bailouts and payoffs the current administration has given out...it's a wonder that the "little people" aren't getting pissed.  My wife found this picture yesterday...I think it's an excellent commentary on just how much Mr. Obama's agenda has screwed up the country.

Obama said the private sector is "fine". I beg to differ. My wife hasn't been able to find a full-time job in more than 4 years...and this idiot says that the economy is "fine"? What an asshole. I have spent the past 4 years worried about how we're going to pay our bills.

I've also been worried that if Mitt Romney got the nomination of the GOP that he'd not be tough enough, or his campaign nimble enough to defeat the Politician in Chief who currently resides in the White House. I've been worried that we were facing a John McCain redux...but here's some evidence that my concerns may be misplaced. Here's the Romney campaigns answer to the "fine" comments of Obama...




It's quite possible that the Romney campaign has realized that the media will do anything they can to scuttle his candidacy...something McCain never learned...

Tanks...Lots of Fun

I've been playing a game called World of Tanks. It's a Massively Multi-Player Online Game...and it's loads of fun. After all...you get to run tanks from the 1920's through the mid-1950's...and it's lots of fun blowing up stuff. But..here's one of the tanks in the game. It's an M5 Stuart light tank.

When WIll Obama Be Held Accountable?

When will the JournoLists of the MSM finally hold Mr. Obama to the standard that he set at the beginning of this term? If not now, when?




By his own words, said three years ago, he's a failure and should be a one-term president. I hope in November, we can fulfill his request.

Police Abusing Power

Law enforcement in this country is beginning to believe that they don't have to follow either the Constitution, or any other laws.  Recently in North Carolina, a black Dodge Charger was filmed driving erratically on the freeway, but according to news reports, The Secret Service owns the care and the was acting "...in an 'official' capacity"?  I call this bullshit. 





The Secret Service has no authority on the roads.  Yet another example of too much police power at all levels of government.  Too many cops don't think that any laws are binding upon them.  "Law Enforcement" has run amuck with police all over the country arresting people for filming them.

Recently in Chicago, police arrested a journalist for filming them.  The cop was caught on camera saying, "your 1st Amendment rights can be suspended..."  Homeland Security needs to be abolished along with the DEA, ATF along with Federal Security Police.

A North Carolina student is shouted down by a teacher who told him he could be arrested for saying bad things about Barack Obama, simply because he's the current President.





This is way out of bounds, and borders on the indoctrination fears that many felt...BEFORE the last election.  This is from the Blaze,

The kerfuffle started after one student asked a question about the teacher’s “fact of the day” that said Romney was a bully back in high school. A student asked:

“Didn’t Obama bully somebody, though?”

The teacher started to get angry and said:

“Not to my knowledge.”

A couple of students relayed the story about Obama admitting that he bullied someone when he was younger. And that seemed to light the fuse on his teacher’s anger. A couple of the students exchanged words with the angry teacher.

“Stop! Stop! Because there’s no comparison. He’s running for president. Obama is the president.”

As one student attempted to argue for a fair, two-sided debate on the history of the candidates, he was shouted down and talked over by the teacher. She continued:

“You got to realize, this man is wanting to be what Obama is. There’s no comparison.”

Once again, the students pressed for equal discussion of the histories of both men, with one saying:

“If you’re gonna talk trash about one side, you gotta talk trash about the other.”

The teacher just seemed to dig her heels in deeper and press her defense of Obama telling the defiant teen:

“You will not disrespect the president of the United States in this classroom.”

Again the student persisted and invoked his First Amendment right.

“I’ll say what I want.”

The still unidentified teacher read the student her rules…her Obama rules.

“Not about him, you won’t!”

The back and forth continued and the most strident of the two students reminded his teacher that President Bush was constantly treated to negative statements about him while he was in office:

“Whenever Bush was president, everybody talked sh-t about him.”

To which the teacher responded:

“Because he was sh-tty.”

After all, doesn't anyone remember this?

At the time, these were written off as not being  important.  But, if you take the revelation from his literary agent...then Mr. Obama doesn't meet the constitutional requirements to be president.

I'm not a birther, but I think that the MSM has cast a blind eye on Mr. Obama's background.  They utterly failed to vet him, and are still ignoring many of the glaring issues of his past.  These are certainly questions that must be looked into...

Dept of Labour Censoring Journalists?

The Federal Dept of Labour announced on Friday that it would limit the number of journalists who were given access to information.  For decades, journalists have arrived in DOL and entered the limited access area for the official release of information.  The Washington Times is reporting that there is a huge exception to this,

But Carl Fillichio, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis’ top communications advisor, circulated a memo earlier this week to interested media informing them that everybody is being required to re-submit their credentials requests.
Fillichio reminded participants that there are only 20-30 seats available for the lockups and that priority will be given by DOL in selecting participants to those that “are primarily journalistic enterprises.”

He also offered a one-sentence assurance that “the department will not consider editorial or political viewpoints in making credentialing decisions.” 

Whatever grumbling might be occasioned by being forced to go through the credentialing process again, the element of the Fillichio memo that has journalists worried is this paragraph:
“Second, as a measure toward enhancing security in its main lockup facility (the DOL news room), the department will supply and maintain standardized equipment with a standard configuration for all participants. This change means that privately owned computer and telephone equipment, including hardware, software, cabling, wiring and Internet and telephone lines will be replaced with equipment owned by the department.”

 This may be the first instance of government bureaucrats effectively shielding an administration from bad news since the institution of civil service reform in the late 19th Century.  If this is in fact the case, it's a subversion of a branch of the government by a political party for it's own gain.  That's very ominous for the future.  What it means is that,

“Delays will make it more difficult for independent analysts to understand the new data and could give White House and DOL political appointees more time to blunt the impact of the negative news resulting from the data.”

That means that bad news will not be disseminated nearly as fast as is currently the case.  Furthermore, by actively attempting to slow they news cycle, it in effect it is the repoliticization of government civil service.  If the GOP wins both the White House and Senate this fall, they can expect  that the civil service will begin to "passively-aggressively" to work against any policies they  may attempt to institute.

If the GOP were to do something similar to this, the MSM would be screaming to high heaven about how "those evil conservatives" were attempting to subvert or politicize the government bureaucracy.
