Cheers to a Quebec City's Mayor!

Here is something that a friend in CA forwarded to me...I'd not seen it myself, but it puts into perspective something that far too many people on the Liberal Left have forgotten...it's not our place to make accommodations to those who immigrate here, but theirs to integrate into our society!

Let's hear it for a Quebec mayor... Or as the commercial promoting pork says "put some pork on your fork" WAY TO GO QUEBEC....... MAYOR REFUSES TO REMOVE PORK FROM SCHOOL CANTEEN MENU... EXPLAINS WHY Muslim parents demanded the abolition of pork in all the school   canteens of   a Montreal suburb. The mayor of the Montreal suburb of Dorval,has refused, and the town   clerk   sent a note to all parents to explain why... "Muslims must understand that they have to adapt to Canada and Quebec,   its   customs, its traditions, its way of life, because that's where they   chose to immigrate. "They must understand that they have to integrate and learn to live in   Quebec. "They must understand that it is for them to change their lifestyle,   not   the Canadians who so generously welcomed them. "They must understand that Canadians are neither racist nor   xenophobic,   they accepted many immigrants before Muslims (whereas the reverse is not   true, in that Muslim states do not accept non-Muslim immigrants). "That no more than other nations, Canadians are not willing to give up   their identity, their culture. "And if Canada is a land of welcome, it's not the Mayor of Dorval who   welcomes foreigners, but the Canadian-Quebecois people as a whole. "Finally, they must understand that in Canada (Quebec) with its   Judeo-Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches and religious   festivals,   religion must remain in the private domain. The municipality of Dorval was right to refuse any concessions to   Islam and   Sharia. "For Muslims who disagree with secularism and do not feel comfortable   in   Canada, there are 57 beautiful Muslim countries in the world, most of them   under-populated and ready to receive them with open halal arms in   accordance with Shariah. "If you left your country for Canada, and not for other Muslim   countries,   it is because you have considered that life is better in Canada than elsewhere. "Ask yourself the question, just once, "Why is it better here in   Canada   than where you come from?" "A canteen with pork is part of the answer."  We need to do this in America...until the 1970's, we insisted that immigrants to America all must integrate into our society...but sometime in that decade, "diversity" took root...and now threatens to destroy the fabric of our society...it's time to stop that dangerous experiment and return to a time when we as a nation demanded that immigrants to our country, become Americans...and drop the hyphens...

The dust has finally settled, and I have the chance to thank all of those (hundreds of) people who were so very kind and generous. I wanted to thank each of you individually, but...there were so many of you that wasn't possible to do so.

So, please, everyone who was so kind, Cheri and I would like to thank you. Your generosity allowed us to leave Maryland and move back to the metro-Detroit region that Cheri grew up in and 2 of our 3 kids live in. It took us 4 days to pack the U-Haul truck, and we arrived in Dearborn, MI at 1:30 am on December 25, 2014.  We chose to leave Maryland because in the seven years since the 2008 recession, Cheri has been unable to find full time work.

With the huge invaision of illegals taking over the construction trades since then, I too have struggled to keep working full time, after all, why would any company struggling to remain in business pay me a professional wage to work, when they can pay 2-3 illegals to do the same job for  what I was making?  That is the paradox of illegal immigration, they put far more pressure on the working class than any one else...

...but that's not the point of this post, it is to thank all those wonderful people who helped us. We had originally hoped merely to keep our heads above water in the Baltimore/DC area...but instead we were able to leave and come back to Cheri's home, where things are finally turning around economically.

So once more, I would like to thank all those whose generosity allowed us to make the move.
