Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Newt Gingrich Gets "It"

There's something that so far, only one of the GOP candidates for President get..."thou shalt not slam another Republican."  Newt gets it:

...and he's the only one. I'm not a support of Mr. Gingrich, nor do I think that he should top the GOP ticket. Would he be an improvement over the current incumbent? Certainly, I would be an enormous improvement over Mr. Obama. That doesn't mean I should top the ticket. On the other hand, I would like to see Newt as the #2...he would then be able to advise the president on "how things work" in the corrupt DC political atmosphere... That being said, I've come to the conclusion that Mitt Romney isn't the one to top the ticket either. His reputation is such, that I believe he would be ObamaLite...and that's not what America needs right now.
