No one provokes me with impunity

Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Tennessee: Hand Over Your Money!

If you travel through Tennessee, don't carry any cash...this was sent by a reader with this comment:
The Gestapo now works on commission......wait till you see the last segment of the video. Drugs are the "pretense" but cash is the motive. And you can be sure not all of it makes it to the agency coffers. Coin dealers & jewelers returning from shows, tourists from casinos and all... prepare to defend your property

Police shaking criminals down is nothing new. Cash seizures based on "probable cause" are also not new.  What appears to be new here is the scale and brazenness of it. It's also amusing to see different forces fighting it out (with words only thus far) over the loot. We're not Mexico - yet. But we seem to be drifting in that direction.
I guess, that our government in addition to supporting the arrival of illegal workers from Central America, has decided that doing what their governments do...
