If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Conservative Philosophy: The 10th Amendment

This came from the comments on another post, but I thought it was pertinent to many of the arguments that are being given against federalism/statism.  But mostly, it's why many conservatives are against federal bloat.
ALL of those wants and needs are to be provided by the [various] state and/or the individual. It is one of the reason we have states. It is to keep things dynamic, not static. As in not static by giving the federal government powers that are not enumerated in the Constitution.  The federal government is NOT supposed to be the countries "infrastructure". The states build their own infrastructure. The states build their own bridges and create their own curriculum for the education of the children.
