If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

CNN poll: 52% say Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012

A poll by the deeply conservative polling/news organization CNN has found that a majority of Americans wouldn't vote to reelect Mr. Obama.

44 percent of all Americans said they would vote to reelect the president in two and a half years, less than the slight majority who said they would prefer to elect someone else.  Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.
Those numbers are just a little worse than those thee poll found on Mr. Obama's approval rating.  49 percent voiced approval of Mr. Obama's job performance, while 50% oppose him.  What must be admitted is that the 2012 election is mor than 32 months away, an aeon in politics, it doesn't bode well for this November.  Another factor that must be weighed is that it seems to be an anti-incumbent, or  perhaps an anti-fiscal irresponsibility wave rising with voters.  But,
at least one retiring lawmaker is confident Obama will sail to reelection, with Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) predicting Monday the president would win "overwhelmingly" in 2012.
Now there's a ringing endorsement if I ever heard one.

I thought this poll very interesting on several levels, with the 52% thinking Obama does not deserve reelection being the most stunning.

A second is that 52% of the respondents said they were working class and 44% said they were middle class. The working class, and, at least, some of the middle class, can probably be viewed as union workers, and yet...the President is not deserving of reelection.

Love it, love it, love it.

Indeed. This is an indication that the hope and change Mr. Obama has promised and started to deliver wasn't the hope and change the electorate was voting for!
