State of the Union
Mr. Obama let us know last night that we should brace for more of the same. He's proclaimed that it's all Bush's fault and he's going to continue down the road he charted last February when he began to implement a socialist agenda by taking control of not just banks and investment firms but 2/3rds of the auto industry.

I think he will continue to blame Bush until it starts to turn around. And of course the media will swoon all over him, even though none of his "fixes" seemed to do much.
I think what bothers me more than anything is that the Dems have had control over everything for a year and they could have passed anything they wanted. But even their own party members knew that some of those policies wouldn't work. The Republicans couldn't have stopped anything if they wanted too.
Now of course Obama made it appear as though the Republicans are stopping everything. It's so frustrating.
Of course he will...it's easier to blame others than to take responsiblity for your own f**kups.
I watched the entire speech with rapt attention.
If I hadn't know better, I'd have sworn he intentionally set out to further enrage Republicans while pushing Independents even farther away.
The speech had the added benefit of leaving the Dems in Congress completely confused as to what he meant, while apparently p*ssing more than a few of them off.
I got deep satisfaction out of hearing derisive laughter greet his newly found budget concerns.
Why, I even saw him finally DO something unprecedented; chastising the Supreme Court in front of the entire nation.... and beyond. The French were moved to comment about it in their newspapers today. His churlishness was on full display, and the grotesque insult to the Court shocked people all around the world.
Chris Matthews may have forgotten Obama was black for an hour; after the first 5 minutes, I forgot he was President. I felt like I was watching some kind of Saturday Night Live parody.
