What does it all mean? For one thing, it means that Obama’s deficit spending extends to the spiritual exchequer of political credibility. Economists tell us the United States will be in hock some $12 trillion by the time Obama gets done with us. How overdrawn will he be in the public trust department? Rightly or wrongly, the epithet “tricky Dick” clung like a limpet to Richard Nixon. What nickname will Obama earn? “Blaguing Barack”? “Hustling Hussein”? “Obfuscating Obama”?
...
That hissing noise you hear is the air going out of the Obama bubble. It will be interesting for some future historian to mark the date when his administration became posthumous, a “dead man walking.” I suspect that the name “CSPAN” will enter into the calculation.

Roger Kimball: That Hiss You Hearrrrr....
Roger Kimball has a great post on the Obama Presidency:

I think there is a terrible realization among some on the Left that Obama is imploding. I live in the SF Bay Area and most of my friends are Leftists. Some are in denial and keep repeating happy thoughts. Yet some have recognized that in sowing the wind for GWB they are reaping the whirlwind for BHO. Several have expressed regret that they set the precedent by which Obama will be stymied.
Indeed, they are seeing the strategies and tactics they used to crucify GWB being used against Obama...though, many of us foresaw just how bad a president The One would be...all it took was a close look at those people he associated with from early adulthood.
Plus, his resume prior to 2008 election was by far the thinnest ever of a president. For this we can place blame...on the Major Media. They should have put him under the microscope (the same used on Palin) but were so in love with the idea of electing a black man, they not only didn't do the job the country depends upon them for, but went to far as to become schills for his campaign.
Now, by having alienated nearly half the country, Media can't understand why currently, they are held under such little regard. There are a few cracks in the nearly monolithic support that media has, when the inevitably turn on him, it will be ugly.
