No one provokes me with impunity

Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

"Common Sense"

This is for my husband who has asked me to contribute just a little more than once every six months.
I came to the title as it seems that we as a nation have lost a portion of our common sense.
As we watch the news and listen to the radio we hear such conflicting “stories” about various topics and “Global Warming” being one of them. So, as we listen to what the “educated-experts” have to say on the effects of “Global Warming”; what we have actuality forgotten are the basic facts.
“Global Warming”: regardless of what the “educated-experts” think they know or what they know or what they think the planet is going to do, the planet is going to continue what it has been doing for roughly 4.54 billion years: “CHANGE.”
It isn’t anything that we as a “human” race (roughly 200,000 years of known existence) have done or can do to stop the “CHANGE”. The ever “CHANGING” evolution of the planet will carry on regardless if we, the human race is here on the planet or not.
The earth IS an ever “CHANGING” planet but somewhere down the line the “educated-experts” to ensure that they can obtain funds must prove that the human population is to blame for the “CHANGING” planet.
COMMON SENSE: Earth-4.54 billion years old (give or take a few years) is not going to stop changing and given the very insignificant time that humans have been inhabiting this magnificent planet; the planet is not, has not and will not stop changing as we, as humans have had very little to do with the significant internal and external physical changes of the planet from the beginning of its creation.
We can however stop abusing the planet and realize that all we are doing is speeding up our own demise.
