What makes this even more ominous, is that buzzfeed.com is reporting that CNN outed the wrong guy.

If this is in fact the case, then this guy just might end up owning a significant portion of CNN. It's being reported that a legal fund has been set up and that lawyers are being sought (specifically, the lawyer Peter Thielle hired to take on the Hulk Hogan lawsuit). If that is true, then CNN is in deep shit. $100,000,000.00 worth. All it takes is that single sentence "CNN reserves the right to..." That can only mean they meant to blackmail this guy...not to mention impinging his 1st Amendment right to say ugly or evil shyte.

Secondly, Ted Cruz, who you might not like, but is a very good lawyer quotes GA law,

Here, nakedly, is the bias of the mainstream media on news that can injure a Conservative or soft pedal a Liberal Democrats.  Neil Cavuto has put together a video that shows the difference between how the media covers a Conservative and Liberals.  It's ugly...and plainly shows that the media has now become a propaganda arm of the Democratic party.

For 4 Mothers, Not A Happy Mother's Day

For at least four mothers, this Mother's Day isn't such a happy one. One mother went to far recently to Pat Smith, the mother of Benghazi victim Sean Smith, ripped Hillary Clinton,blame the death of her son on Hillary Clinton.

“I’m still waiting answers about everything. I do want to say one thing, though. I want to wish Hillary a Happy Mother’s Day. She has her child. I don’t have mine, because of her.”

Both Hillary and Barack Obama share the blame along with the media for the fiasco of 9-11-2012.  Obama because he's the  commander in chief, and is the only one who can authorize military action in situations like this.  LtGen Wm. Boykin(Retired) was on with Governor Mike Huckabee last night. Boykin was the latest official to put blame on the president for giving the stand down order.

“The order to actually engage troops in a rescue operation has to come from the president unless it’s a military facility and then the commander has certain authorities. But it has to come from the president to put troops in harm’s way. Now, in that case, because we don’t know enough of the details, that could have come from the commander from the Africa command who told them to stand down. But play that all the way out, who told him not to allow them to… You are under attack, we are going to be there. That was the whole point of it. And so to say that we didn’t know enough, I don’t buy that. I think that is incredible and I think someone needs to be taken to task over it.”

His 2 am phone call came early in the evening and Obama chose to go  back to bed...then on to Las Vegas for a political fund raiser the next day.

Hillary shares the blame because her office (if not her directly) refused to strengthen the security arrangements in Benghazi, despite repeated requests to do so...

The MSM shares the blame for this because collectively, they refused to cover this story during the campaign last fall...after Obama for months claimed that he had destroyed Al Quieda.  They continue to carry the water for him today, even after it's been shown that many who lead media organizations are closely related to people directly involved.

NYTimes Has Begun the Character Assasination of Ted Cruz

Gail Collins of the NYTimes has begun the character assassination of Ted Cruz.  She's doing this to start, even now, preparing the 2016 presidential election battlefield.  Ann Althouse has posted a great take down of Ms. Collins article.  She lists 5 problems with the Times piece.

1. Somebody get Gail Collins a thesaurus. For "stupendous," try "astonishing." It's got that huffy, aghast tone you seem to be looking for. I know, "stupendous" is tempting because it gives the feeling that you're calling your target stupid, but when you find something "stupendous," you're actually confessing to stupor on your own part, and literally, if you are in a stupor, you are stupid.

2. This woman-defending-woman column ends with a recipe metaphor. Is that good gender politics? It resonates with what I think is Collins's effort to make us see this interplay between 2 U.S. Senators in terms of a man patronizing a woman.

3. Cruz's questions were about the security of our constitutional rights: Why did humor belong in that recipe?

4. Where was this "self-righteousness"? Collins's evidence is that Cruz used the phrases “My... point is," "in my opinion," “I would point out," and "In my view." This phobia about first-person-singular pronouns is silly. It's used against Obama all the time. What does Collins think of all those right-wing bloggers who will inform you about how many times Obama says "I" in a given speech? I'll bet she thinks it's... stupid. I certainly do.

5. Cruz also referred to his role as counsel in Heller (the Supreme Court's biggest 2d Amendment case) — another thing Collins considered self-referential and self-righteous. But Collins began her column building up Dianne Feinstein's stature because of her encounter with the fatally wounded Harvey Milk and George Moscone many years ago. Does personal experience lend weight to political opinion or not? Feinstein said: "I walked in, I saw people shot. I’ve looked at bodies that have been shot with these weapons. I’ve seen the bullets that implode." That's at least as self-referential and self-righteous as Cruz's statement that he was not "unfamiliar" with Heller given that he worked on the case.

Ms. Collins in particular and the MSM in general are preparing the battlefield for the tactics of personal destruction to use on Mr. Cruz.  If they can marginalize him now, since as a Hispanic Conservative, he (like Sarah Palin before him) is a threat to the whole Liberal meme (they support minorities and women).

If the MSM can successfully marginalize Cruz NOW, he won't be a threat to either Biden, Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama (yes, she's already being touted as presidential material on the left) in 2016.

We, in the grass roots blogging community need to begin our pushback NOW, BEFORE the narrative is set in concrete.  I would urge everyone who has a blog to start publishing pushback against articles on Cruz, so that even Google searches won't be able to hide positive mentions of any minority of conservative.

We have to keep in mind that Mr. Cruz wasn't annointed by the GOP "elite" leadership inside the DC Beltway.  He's the choice of the Tea Party movement of Texas.  He wiped out the RSCC's choice in the GOP primary and easily won the general election last November.  He along with Rand Paul and Marco Rubio are NOT part of the "elite" GOP leadeship.  They're outsiders as their support comes from the base of  the party and the Tea Party movement. 

If the MSM can successfully destroy the credibility of these men by manufacturing a false narrative of wackiness or extremism, they they will be finished in national politics.  We in the grass roots base, have the job of trying to push back against the official Democratic Propaganda sources (aka, the MSM).  If we can flood the interwebs with good stories, we can overwhelm even GOOGLE's biased, dollars supported searches.

Mr. Cruz, Paul and Rubio are the future of the GOP.  If we allow them to be marginalized by the MSM we, the grass roots conservative movement will have failed America.

Why Doesn't America Trust Our "Non-Partisan" Media?

Here's why:

Neil King is a political reporter for the Wall Street Journal. He is married to Shailagh Murray who left a reporting job at the Washington Post to take the job of Joe Biden’s communications director. She replaced Jay Carney who moved to the White House and who himself left Time to take the communications director role for Biden.

John Harris of the Politico is married to an abortion rights activist who used to run NARAL Virginia.

The Politico’s Chief Washington Correspondent, Jonathan Allen, left the Politico to work for Debbie Wasserman Schultz, then returned to the Politico.

Andy Barr of the Politico left the Politico to work for the Democratic National Committee and now works for Richard Carmona, the Democrats’ candidate for Senate in Arizona against Jeff Flake.

George Stephanopolous of ABC News used to be a strategist for Bill Clinton and even after becoming Chief Washington Correspondent still engaged in regular conversations with Rahm Emanuel, James Carville, and Paul Begala from the Clinton days. (Ironic, isn’t it, that John Harris wrote that story)

Michael Scherer of Time, where Jay Carney left to go to Joe Biden’s office, got his start in left wing publications, as did Ezra Klein of the Washington Post who famously created the left wing Journolist filled with Washington journalists and pundits to bounce around themes in the left wing echo chamber.

Linda Douglass of ABC News left ABC to serve as Chief Propaganda Officer for the Obama White House in charge of getting Obamacare through.

Andrew Rosenthal of the New York Times made up the story about President George H. W. Bush being surprised and taken aback by a common supermarket check out scanner. The story was made up by Rosenthal who was not even present. Andrew Rosenthal is now the Editor of the New York Times Editorial Page.

The incestuous relationship between the democratic Party and the media has become naked and quite obvious.  The revolving door between prominent Democratic Politicians and "JournoList(ers)" has become far too open to conceal.  Follow the link and read the whole thing.

I'm not a birther, but I think that the MSM has cast a blind eye on Mr. Obama's background.  They utterly failed to vet him, and are still ignoring many of the glaring issues of his past.  These are certainly questions that must be looked into...

Here are some very interesting questions that the media SHOULD be asking the incumbent in the
White House.  I don't expect them to do so...they've been carrying water for so long, that really, no one expects them to do so...

If the economy is getting better, then why did new home sales in the United States hit a brand new all-time record low during 2011?

If the economy is getting better, then why are there 6 million less jobs in America today than there were before the recession started?

If the economy is getting better, then why is the average duration of unemployment in this country close to an all-time record high?
If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of homeless female veterans more than doubled?
If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of Americans on food stamps increased by 3 million since this time last year and by more than 14 million since Barack Obama entered the White House?

If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of children living in poverty in America risen for four years in a row?

If the economy is getting better, then why is the percentage of Americans living in "extreme poverty" at an all-time high?
If the economy is getting better, then why is the Federal Housing Administration on the verge of a financial collapse?

If the economy is getting better, then why does the number of "long-term unemployed workers" stay so high? When Barack Obama first took office, the number of "long-term unemployed workers" in the United States was approximately 2.6 million. Today, that number is sitting at 5.6 million.

 I'd love to see the media asking Mr. Obama this stuff.  But it won't happen.  The GOP presidential candidates won't ask either.  The only one who did, has targeted by the GOP Establishment figuratively crucified in the court of the media.

I know I'm not the only one who's noticed this hypocrisy in action. These people are demanding in part, that their massive student loans be forgiven...my answer is rather blunt---HELL NO! If you're stupid enough to get a degree in psychology (which prepares you to flip burgers) or in anything that has the word "studies" in it, and you paid highly inflated tuition rates for it, you deserve what you've done to yourself but I digress... Media coverage of the two movements, one a true grass roots movement, and the other an astro-turfed insta-movement is very telling. The media is attempting to divert attention away from the disaster that Mr. Obama's policies have inflicted upon America. That's the main difference.

Then there is President Obama, heralded as the smartest president and the most gifted orator in living memory, but whose 2008 "Yes we can!" victory speech came in at a comparatively anemic Flesch-Kincaid rating of 7.4. Some numbers just speak for themselves.

Hard to argue with AOL...after all, they do have a liberal bias...

Trump Will Not Run

On April 28th, I posted a  story on The Donald...not running for president.  Well, ABC is reporting today, that the Donald isn't running for president...more than two weeks after The Vail Spot's report...good sourcing sometimes gives us it's blessing.

Of course in the mean time,  he's given his show a huge ratings boost, and promoted his various commercial enterprises as well.  Way to go Donald, tweeking the MSM!

Reporter Finally Does His Job

This week, Mr. Obama has allowed local reporters  in smaller cities to interview him.  For the first time, a reporter actually asks him tough questions and gets testy answers.  So much so, that the White House announces that HoustonDallas, Texas reporter WFAA's Brad Watson won't ever be permitted another interview.

The president of the United States was not happy. Obama had been corrected (he lost Texas by 12 points, not “a few,” in 2008), he was accused of punishing the state for political reasons (he denied that the White House had any part in the decision not to award a space shuttle to Houston), and he was challenged with the most basic of political questions: Why are you so unpopular in Texas?  And all that in a setting the White House anticipated would be largely free of tricky questions...Obama unclipped his microphone with no smile in sight, and tersely warned, “Let me finish my answers next time we do an interview, all right?”

Mr. Obama has always had awestruck treatment from the mainstream media, but when he's given even the most mild of adversarial questions, he can't handle it.

The problem: The reporter’s questions weren’t particularly difficult, but they were clearly not what Obama was expecting. The result was a viral video that depicted Obama as angry when faced with tough questioning. And it unveiled some of the degree to which the White House would like to control its message.

In retaliation, the White House will not permit that reporter to ever interview Mr. Obama again. 

Pfeiffer was asked by Time reporter Michael Scherer, “So will WFAA's Brad Watson get another interview one day?”   Instead of quickly taking the high road, Pfeiffer suggested that Watson may truly be out in the cold after irritating the president. And he did it by revealing yet another trick of Washington communications: playing one news outlet against its rival.

the fireworks started when Lowry called President Obama classless for the way he treated Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) at Wednesday's speech on deficit reduction which led Clift to ask, "What else would you expect from a socialist born in Kenya who’s hiding his birth certificate?"

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He did all of this in his first 21 months -- so you'll have two years and three months to come up with an answer.

It doesn't look like the MSM will condemn the death threats that the GOP legislator's are receiving from union thugs in Wisconsin.  Nor will Mr. Obama...in fact, his Organizing for America is actually funding these protests. Furthermore, by attempting to disrupt the Wisconsin House of Representatives, the Left has entered the realm of the socialist Nazi party of the 1920's. 

Scott Walker, Meet The [Biased] Press

The Governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker was on Meet the Press this morning.   Here's the transcript of the appearance.   As expected David Gregory kept on trying to interject, interrupt with the same tire talking points that the liberal media has been trying to pin on this controversy.  

GREGORY: So that context is important, because there's collective bargaining, which you'd like to limit. And there are those, the specific contributions that you ask the unions. They said they would do that. They would meet those demands.


So the question that comes up again and again, is if you want to deal with the budget and the deficit, why not take yes for an answer?
WALKER: Well, because we've seen that actions speak louder than words. For us to balance the $3.6 billion deficit we have, not only now, but to insure we can continue to do it in the future, so our kids don't inherit the same dire consequences, we've got to have assurances. And over the past two weeks even after they made those promises we've seen local union after local union rush to their school boards, their city councils, their technical school boards and rush through contracts in the past two weeks that had no contribution to the pension and no contribution to health care.

And in fact one case in Janesville, they actually were pushing through a pay increase. Actions speaks louder than words --

GREGORY: But governor, you could have extended the bill -- you could have extended the bill to those local government agencies. You chose not to.
WALKER: No, that's just the opposite. I was a local government official for eight years. This bill precisely helps local governments and it's effective once it passes.

In fact, we're -- we're facing a $3.6 billion deficit. Like nearly every other state across the country, we're going to have to cut more than $1 billion from our schools and local governments. You know, in New York and California where there are Democrats for governors, they're doing that. The difference here is with this budget repair bill, we give those schools and local governments more -- almost $1.5 billion worth of savings.

So the savings they get from our budget repair bill exceed the amount --
(CROSS TALK)
GREGORY: But --
WALKER: -- that they're costing that state budget --
GREGORY: -- all right, but let me -- let me be clear, if the unions, who -- who it seems to me have been clear in saying that they would agree to those extra contributions, if they did that, and you say you're concerned about the budget shortfall, why not accept that?
WALKER: But when I -- my point is, they can't. Because they, the two people that suggested [that] are statewide union leaders. There are 1,000-plus municipalities, there's 400 -- more than 424 school districts, there's 72 counties. I know -- I used to be a county executive for eight years -- I know that collective bargaining has to be done in every jurisdiction. They can't guarantee that. And the actions of those local unions in the past two weeks show that.

If they were serious about it, they would have offered up contracts that -- that paid something for health care and something more for pensions. But they're not. The reality is, even beyond the five and the 12, collective bargaining does have a cost. In Wisconsin, a great example of that is, we have -- in many of our school districts, a requirement to collective bargaining contract that they have to buy their health insurance from a company that's owned by our state teachers union, W.A. Trust.

Because of that it costs them up to $68 million more than if they could just buy it from the state employee health care plans. Those are real costs, about putting real money in the classrooms, instead -- in -- into these collective bargaining agreements.

GREGORY: What's wrong -- but governor let me just --
WALKER: And to me at this -- at this county level I tried to avoid layoffs.
GREGORY: -- but what -- what's wrong with collective bargaining? Let's be clear so unions organize public employees, they're able to bargain not just about wages, but also about health benefits and pension benefits. What you're trying to do is say no, you can just collectively bargain when it comes to how much you make, but not those other benefits.
WALKER: Right.
GREGORY: What's so wrong with that, collective bargaining?
WALKER: Well, our proposal is less restrictive than the federal government is today. Under Barack Obama, he presides over federal government when most federal employees do not have collective bargaining for benefits nor for pay. So what we're asking for something less restrictive than what the federal government has in fact --

GREGORY: But I asked you a more specific question, which is what's wrong with collective bargaining?
WALKER: Well for us it's -- it's about the fact that again, as a local official, I can tell you personally, time and time again, because of collective bargaining when we had tough budgets in the past when I was at the county presiding as a C.O. there, I tried to do modest changes in pension, I tried to do modest changes in health care.

In fact, one year, I literally tried to do a 35-hour work week to try and avoid massive layoffs and furloughs and the union said, forget it. Embodied, emboldened by the fact that they had collective bargaining agreements, they said go ahead, literally lay off 400 or 500 people. And to me, laying off people in this economy is just completely unacceptable.

GREGORY: Let me -- let me ask you about --
WALKER: If we do not get these changes and the Senate Democrats don't come back. We're going to be forced to make up the savings in layoffs and that to me is just unacceptable.

If, Mr. Obama manages to hang on in 2012...Mr. Walker would be one hell of a candidate for 2016!

Left Threatens Political Violence in Wisconsin

In Wisconsin over the past few days, teachers unions and public employees unions have been spouting all  sorts of threats against the governor and Republican controlled legislature.  Where are all the voices in the media calling for "moderation"?



...oh, my bad, it's ok for the LEFT to do this...it's ok for the left to impugn anything about their opponents.  Mr. Obama needs to lead...not follow as he did after the Tucson shootings when leftist media and leftist pundits blamed the Tea Party for all sorts of heinous crimes...
