Support To Repeal OBamaCare @ 60%

The BlogProf has a great post showing how ObamaCare Repeal is gaining steam.  According to a weekly tracking poll, support to repeal is now 60%. 

For the second time this month, 60% of Likely Voters at least somewhat favor repeal of the national health care law, while the number who expect health care costs to increase is at its highest level since August.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 49% Strongly Favor repeal of the plan. Thirty-eight percent (38%) oppose the law’s repeal, including 29% who Strongly Oppose repeal. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

BlogProf has a great history of the tracking poll going back to when it was passed.  Furthermore, the Washington Post will no longer post it's own poll results in the WaPo because...the country wants this horrendous law repealed...and the WaPo is part of Obama's Cheerleading Network. 

• 57% say the law will increase the federal deficit, while only 17% expect the plan to reduce the deficit
• 53% say the quality of health care will decrease under the new law
• 61% believe the law will cause health care costs to go up
• 55% say the law will be bad for the country

 

...and because when it rains it pours...74% of physicians currently practicing medicine and will either retire or turn to working part-time.

Journolist: Propogandizing The Leftist Agenda

The Daily Caller and FishbowlDC published emails by Dave Weigel, the WaPo's "journalist" assigned to cover the conservative movement here in the US.  He was presented as a "centre-right" journalist.  But with the publication of a number emails wherein he says some very hateful things about prominent conservatives, highlights just why he was terminated from that position. 

Much has been said on the matter, and I'll leave the deep thinking to others.  But, the simple fact is that Journolist operated just as it's critics claimed it would. It served as a place to secretly coordinate a left-leaning (I'm not being sarcastic) response or presentation of MSM news stories, or to propogandize the leftist agenda, which shows that infact it was what it’s critics charge: A Closed Echo Chamber used to refine what was later presented to the public via “news reporting”.


It will resurface in another form because those people who participated in it don't see that what they were doing was wrong.  So, it will return in another form just as “Townhouse” did as “Journolist”. Using a private forum to coordinate political/journalistic storylines is unethical and comes near to propogandizing.

Helen Thomas Retires: DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD THE WICKED WITCH...

Helen Thomas, the bigotted White House doyen has announced her retirement, effective immediately.  After being caught on tape voicing her real opinion of Isreal in particular and Jews in general, she chose to retire rather than be booted out of the White House press pool, as the rising tide of anger threatened to wash over her this past weekend. 



That's Robert Gibbs comment  on her...of course her views reflect those of this administration it only remains to be seen if the threat of a war between Turkey and Isreal that is very real and looming in the eastern Mediterreanian Sea will affect the present anti-Israeli stance of this administration.  Here is Ms. Thomas' non-appology statement: 

“I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon.”

It's nice to see that she didn't actually get away with this.  The WaPo, NYT and LAT still haven't actually posted any stories on this yet...but they'll now be able to write glowing stories about how wonderful Ms. Thomas' reporting was and her 60 year career...all without mentioning what a horrendous bigot she is.

WaPo: Obama Losing His Luster

The honeymoon must be over, Dana Milbank of the Washington Post has written a rather scathing column over how many Obama supporters believe that they were 'misled' by The One...who has shown more and more, that he is merely 'just another politician', albeit, one who plays political hard ball of the 'Chicago Way.'

Consider the blow suffered by the liberal filmmaker Michael Moore, who issued a plaintive plea to the president on the eve of his announcement that he was sending 30,000 more troops into Afghanistan...Yet Moore is surely right about the disillusionment of Obama's supporters. Even before the surge announcement, support among liberals for Obama's Afghanistan policy had dropped 22 points since July, to 59 percent from 81 percent, according to a Post-ABC News poll. Overall liberal support for Obama had drifted down to 80 percent from 94 percent in the spring -- and, given the noisy complaints from the left last week, that number seems likely to fall further.

It was bound to happen eventually. Obama had become to his youthful supporters a vessel for all of their liberal hopes. They saw him as a transformational figure who would end war, save the Earth from global warming, restore the economy -- and still be home for dinner. They lashed out at anybody who dared to suggest that Obama was just another politician, subject to calculation, expediency and vanity like all the rest. Certainly, Obama gets some blame for encouraging the messianic cult as he stumped for change and hope. "I am asking you to stop settling for what the cynics say we have to accept," he would say as he wrapped up speeches. "Let us reach for what we know is possible: A nation healed. A world repaired. An America that believes again." In other cases, Obama truly has gone back on campaign vows.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. No politician can possibly full fill all of the promises Mr. Obama made on the campaign trail. He literally promised everything to everyone...so many were bound to be disappointed.

WaPo's Dana Milbank Sears Bertha Lewis of ACORN

In what may well be the first of it's kind, a scathing report by the Washington Post's, Dana Milbank presents a very scathing report of Bertha Lewis' appearance before the National Press Club yesterday.

In the very first paragraph Milbank heaps scorn on Lewis,

She came to the National Press Club on Tuesday, ostensibly to report on the community group's "internal probe" into the ACORN workers who were caught on tape advising people posing as a pimp and a prostitute...

As the Billy May's commercials say...but wait there's more! Of course, Ms. Lewis isn't to blame for any of the problems now facing ACORN...it's all the "previous admnistrations fault." (Haven't we heard that somewhere before? Oh, yeah, the current President Obama uses that refrain as an excuse for all of the chickens now coming home to roost.)

In creativity, the ACORN boss's denials were matched only by her assignments of blame. She blamed her predecessor: "I don't think it's fair to judge me, as I'm cleaning up a previous administration." She blamed the powerful: "We've seen this play before, whether it was the civil rights movement or whatever, when you organize poor people to have real power, what you do is often turned against you."

But to listen to Ms. Lewis, it's all a Republican plot...

And most of all, she blamed Republicans: "The RNC . . . because we've been inflated as the boogeyman, raises almost $2 million a day, every day, and this form of modern-day ACORN McCarthyism has got to stop."

You just can't make this stuff up. I strongly suspect that within a couple of months, there will be a new CEO at ACORN, if of course, there's still an ACORN left. Is this the MSM finally doing it's job, reporting factual news, or merely WaPo Playing catch up?

Is Health Care Reform Unconstitutional

David B. Rivkin Jr. and Lee A. Casey in today's Washington Post present excellent arguments why all of the proposals now before either the House of Representatives, or, before the US Senate are unconstitutional.
