I'm a gamer and I currently play World Of Tank/World of Warplanes/World of Warships. I've played those games since March of 2011. Previous to that I played City of Heroes/City of Villains for 8 years. Additionally, I played NavyField. In all that time, I've never seen anyone harrass a woman in the public chats. Ever. Every time I ever saw anyone who was a "real life" woman ask for help, some of the best players in the game (or server) always came forward to help and did so constructively.I'll try to link back to her original post...
I don't know what Sarkeesian is harping about because in 11 years of playing massively multi-player online games, I personally, never witnessed any of what she is claiming. I have met several wonder women online in those games and I know of at least 3 that have met and later married men they met playing.
So when I hear about the allegations that Ms Sarkeesian makes I wonder just where in the hell she dug them up. While I am more than willing to admit that there are [can't print that term in a family friendly environment] in any given game, I just can't see what she is talking about.

#GamerGate: My View
After following #GamerGate for sometime now, I believe that this is just a sad attempt by "Social Justice Warriors" to preempt something that is fun (online games) and ruin it. Paula Wright has a great post on this , but I couldn't post my comment so here it is:
