ObamaCare Is Unconstitutional
The recent decision by the Federal District Court in Richmond, VA that declared the individual mandate in ObamaCare as unconstitutional will be the end of ObamaCare. It's the most important piece of the whole house of cards. Without it's rule that everyone, regardless of age, financial situation or good health, must purchase health insurance, none of the rest of the "reforms" can stand. Health insurance companies will not be able to afford to cover everyone, regardless of "pre-existing" conditions without massive increases in insurance costs.
For the first time, the Federal government attempted to mandate the everyone in this country MUST participate, through threat of taxation/fines, in an economic activity under the commerce clause of the US Constitution. This is clearly outside the scope of the federal government, and this ruling clearly shows that the government's case was badly flawed to begin with.
