Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Obama's Value Added Tax

Here's an email that was sent to me by a great friend...someone who has gone out of his way to help me...even when it cost him to do so:
Rich,
I remember when George H.W. Bush (Bush 41) was the sitting president. In order to help balance the budget, his White House economic advisors proposed new taxes and offset the spending of Congress. Of course during the 1988 presidential campaign, Bush promised, "Read my lips, no new taxes."

Well the taxes passed and the liberal news media went wild. They must have replayed that film clip 50 times - each day - on every television station. The Democrats played it 100 times a day during the Bush/Clinton campaign in 1988. The inference was that Bush could not keep his word. Bush's fate was sealed and the media was relentless.

Now we have Paul Volkerm, the former chairman of the Fed, an Obama appointee in the White House, proposing a Value Added Tax to help shore up the economy and cover the deficits. He claims that Obama is spending money like a drunken sailor - sorry all Navy personnel.

During the 2008 campaign, Obama told the American voters that he was different that Sen. John McCain because he promises never raise taxes on those earning less than $50,000. That promise, of course, was broken in the first year of his administration. He raised taxes on cigarettes. But that was ok with the liberals because it was considered a SIN tax and only affected those dumb enough to smoke. The media hardly mentioned it.

Will the liberal news media ignore this new proposed tax? Will they give Obama a free ride? Will Obama justify the new tax, saying, "It's all George Bush's fault - he passed taxes before he did."

Hey - wake up America - take a look at the Tea Party. No violence - don't believe the Liberal news media. They would have been against the Revolutionary War too. They currently have their darling in the White House and would never report truth.
I believe that the major media has become so entwined with the Obama regime that they can no longer report anything honestly any more.  They spent some much effort ignoring everything  that he said in his past, ignoring those with whom he has had long association with that their reporting on current events is reduced to schilling for his programs...
