Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

NY Times Crowing About Taliban Military Chief's Capture

The NY Times crowing about the capture of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, who is reputed to be the top military commander of the Taliban resitance forces in Afghanistan and Pakistan.  What I find difficult to swallow, though, is this self serving statement:
The New York Times learned of the operation on Thursday, but delayed reporting it at the request of White House officials, who contended that making it public would end a hugely successful intelligence-gathering effort.
Since when did the NY Times withhold secret information at the bequest of the White House.  After all, didn't this newspaper leak several operations that hurt Al Qaeda?

Oh my bad, that was Bushhilter, not America they were hurting...how stupid can I be?

I like to call them the "New York Once Upon A Times". They are a dying newspaper. Hey Rich, great blog. Found you through Conservative Firestorm of which we are both contributors. Please feel free to check out my blog anytime, and if you feel like it follow or add me to your blogroll. Take care.
