Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

This post of Mesopotamia West is a must read.  The author poses a quite plausible senario for the dissolution of the United States...with the temper of the country what it is, politically, I don't find it at all far fetched.
First we have a president who knows nothing about the military and, from his Marxist and socialist background, probably fears and despises it. Secondly, we have a military which has been fighting a difficult asymmetrical war in two middle eastern countries for a decade. And thirdly, to do so, we have a military that is composed of many actual civilians called up from the Reserves and National Guard; members who have been part of both worlds.
Let me toss in that our current president is not only ignorant of the US military, but he has the disdane that is prevelent in nearly all Liberals, but is at a feverish level in academia today.

As the blogFather says, READ THE WHOLE THING!
