Yesterday, at three separate campaign stops, Richard Blumenthal found himself embarrassed when attendees started chanting "Semper Fake." His supporters couldn't stop it and the crowd made the chant grow louder.
I expect this to get much more common. As a former Marine myself, there is nothing slimier than a fake "war hero/warrior." Richard Blumenthal is guilty on both counts. Here is one report:
From the NYT, Politicians and Their Fake War Stories:
This week, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut found himself in the hot seat. A Times article reported that Mr. Blumenthal, a Democrat running for the United States Senate, had not fought in Vietnam, and yet in a speech in 2008 he said, “We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam.” In fact, he received five military deferments between 1965 and 1970, when he landed a coveted spot in the Marine Reserve, which allowed him to avoid combat overseas. Here's video of Mr. Blumenthal lying:
Mr. Blumenthal is just what America, and Connecticut doesn't need...yet another lying politician who lies when it suits his needs.

Mr. Mosler, If you wish to do so, I will gladly publish a column under your byline putting forth your positions on various issues. If you have video, I'll post that (preferably in youtube.com format, as I'm still a novice and that's the easiest form to publish).
I have contacted your campaign with the same message.
