No one provokes me with impunity

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

The Real Unemployment Rate

The real unemployment rate is nearly double the official rate published by the US Government.  I know, because I just lost my job.  I'm a cabinetmaker with 10 years experience and in the past 2 years, I've worked 4 weeks in my profession.  The rest of that time, I've been waiting tables or working as a bartender.  Yet the recession is "over"...right.  Over for who?  Not me.

The video is by bankruptingamerica.org they also have a Youtube channel.   The government, just like everything else they do, is gaming the unemployment numbers.  Officially, unemployment is 9.6% while the more widely accepted U6 rate (which includes those who have given up looking for work as well as those who can only find part-time work--like my wife) is nearly double that rate at 17.1%.  What that means is more than 27 million workers are out of work or under employed.

This is what the economic policies of the Democratic Congressional leadership have given us.  After all, they have had control of congress for 2 election cycles, or 4 years.  They have had control of the White House for two years, and yet, the economy continues to "unexpectedly" lose jobs.  Business is sitting on $5,000,000,000,000.00, but won't spend it because they are waiting to see if ObamaCare will stand.

Additionally, they are waiting to see what the Lame Duck Congress will do after large numbers of the Democratic majority have been "retired by the voters". (gotta love Jimmah Carter for coming up with that phrase).   After all, there is really no guessing what insanity a soon to be lost Democratic Leadership will ram through just before they lose their majority.  Because of all this uncertainly in what it will actually cost to hire workers and sharply taxes will rise come January (a minimum of 13%).  No businessman who has to answer to a board of directors or shareholders will do much of anything.  In the mean time, those who are unemployed, or under employed will bleed...and bleed some more.
