Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Dem's Facing Crushing Defeat Next Month

Last year, I predicted that if ObamaCare passed that the Democratic Party could see the loss of 100 or more seats in the US House of Representatives here and here.  In a recent Wall Street Journal article, this was echoed:
Michael Barone, co-author of the Almanac of American Politics, says either of the Gallup turnout models would produce "a Republican House majority the likes of which we have not seen since the election cycles of 1946 or even 1928." Mr. Barone says the historical parallel might no longer be 1994, when the GOP gained 54 House seats, but instead 1894, when Republicans gained more than 100 House seats in the middle of the economic downturn that engulfed Democratic President Grover Cleveland.

We have just 4 more weeks to see if I was right...or wrong.  I've been wrong before.  But then, I predict that if Rober O'Malley is reelected to the governorship of Maryland, then Barbara Mikulski will "retire" and O'Malley will appoint someone in her stead...
