If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

A Majority Want Constitution Left Alone

In a recent poll, 62% of American's would like to see the Constitution left alone.  Only a very small minority would like to see major changes made (7%). 
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Adults shows that, when asked their views on changing the Constitution, 62% say it should be left alone. Twenty-four percent (24%) believe minor changes are needed, while only seven percent (7%) see a need for major changes.   Three percent (3%) believe the country should scrap the Constitution and start over again.
