If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

In God We Trust Is Gone From New Currency

I received an email from a friend in which a claim was made that "In God We Trust" was removed from the face of the new "Presidential" $1 coins. However, at the US Mint's website, they show pictures of the new coins in which that phrase is clearly seen. What has been remvoved and placed on the edge of the coin is the year minted and the traditional phrase "E Pluribus Unem".
