No one provokes me with impunity

Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Obama's Assault on 2nd Amendment

Mr. Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder yesterday as release the details of Mr. Obama assault on the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution. Mr. Holder made public several statements before the Senate Judiciary Committee:

Holder wants national, permanent gun registration system.
Holder wants new federal authority to prohibit any person on the federal watch list (reported to be 400,000 names) from buying guns and supports confiscating guns from those on the list who possess them.
The latest Rasmussen poll shows waning support for stricter gun laws.

A recent poll of likely voters, 75% said the Constitution guaranteed the individual right to own a firearms. The very high percentage of "yes" answers was far larger among Republicans (92%), but only a lower among committed Democrats (64%). Non-aligned voters, 71% answered yes, with 57% of those polled cited fears of increased government mandated restrictions as the main reason for the sharp rise in gun recent sales.

The Obama administration has now quite publicly joined Sen. Frank Lautenberg, a very liberal Democrat from New Jersey as he seeks to ban gun ownership from at least 1,000,000 US citizens who have been placed on a secret FBI terrorist watch list. Mr. Lautenberg' bill S.1317 would give Mr. Holder the discretion to block any gun sales to people on terror watch lists without justifying the presence of the individual's name on the watch list. As Americans, we have the right to own fire arms. As Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the United States said,
"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
Therefore, we have the duty to defeat this bill from giving the federal government the extraordinary power to limit gun sales within this country.
