Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

New Stimulus Bill Delays Medicade Payment Cuts--AGAIN!

Democrats have claimed throughout the past 8 months that they would be able to keep costs down on health care by making specific cuts here and there. One of the areas they would make cuts would be to mandate how much Doctors would be able to charge for service. Another area was being able to make savings in Medicare. But, Congress has, to date, never been able to do so.
WASHINGTON, Feb 9 (Reuters) - A jobs-creation bill that could pass the Senate this week would delay a scheduled 20 percent reduction in doctor payments under the Medicare health-insurance program, according to a copy of the text obtained by Reuters.

The bill also extends soon-to-expire jobless payments, healthcare subsidies for the unemployed and highway-funding programs, according to the text of the bill, which has not yet been introduced.
Yet Mr. Obama, Mr. Reid and Mrs. Pelosi would have us believe that in the future, Congress would actually have the fortitude in order to actually MAKE the cuts. I don't see that happening...EVER!
