No one provokes me with impunity

Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Massive Hike in Debt Ceiling

In an act of massive stupidity, the Democratic majority voted 217-212 to increase the debt ceiling to $14,294,000,000,000.00. This even AFTER the rumble in Massachusetts that led to the election of Scott Brown on the major reasons...he would vote to stop the nationalization of health care industry and he would do his best to be a Fiscal Conservative. This is going to be the beginning of the the swell...that sweeps away the Democratic majority in both houses, especially if the Senate passes the same bill...through the reconciliation process.

In 1939, Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau’s quote of 1939 –
“We are spending more money than we have ever spent before, and it does not work. After eight years we have just as much unemployment as when we started, and an enormous debt to boot”
This kind of votes by Pelosi, et al, make me wonder about the basic sanity of the Democratic party's leadership in Congress.
