Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Fire Thei Inspector Generals

The Huffington Post is reporting that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have fired their Inspector Generals. This will effectively prevent ANY investigation into the activities that led up to the collapse of the American financial institutions.
The ruling came in response to a request from the Federal Housing Finance Agency itself -- which means that a federal agency essentially succeeded in getting rid of its own inspector general. The FHFA is home to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks, which are jointly responsible for purchasing or guaranteeing more than 80 percent of new mortgages issued since the middle of 2008, according to FHFA numbers.
Basically, the government asked the Justice Dept to rule...and of course they did, just the way they should...to cover up any possible misdeeds.
