Article 1, Section 9, Constitution of the United States

If this is the law of the land...why in a republic (little r) and as republicans, do we allow mere POLITICIANS to the right to use a "title of office" for the rest of their lives as if it were de facto a patent of nobility. Because, as republicans, this should NOT be the case...just saying...

A New Political Party Being Born?

From Politico.com...

Tea Party adherents are beginning to genuinely organize...they've begun to support candidates who are FISCALLY conservative (not socially conservative--horses of 2 vastly different colours). If this trend continues, it will either revitalize the GOP or quite possibly become a new party altogether...it all depends upon what happens over the next few months. If the GOP continues to attempt to take over control of the Tea Party movement...while many of the party rank and file have come to believe that the GOP leadership has lost touch with the desires of the "base" it could see the party split, perhaps permanently. Personally, I think it's time for the "elite" leadership of the GOP to leave their comfortable perches inside the DC beltway and get out and talk to those of us out here between the coasts.
